In His earthly ministry, Jesus performed signs and wonders that demonstrated His divine power. It was through these miracles that He was vindicated and proven to be the Messiah. But, some refused to believe. Even though His power was clear, many contemporaries of our Savior rejected Him and warred against His message. In this sermon on John 5:10-18, Pastor Rob highlights the arrogance of the Jewish leaders who would not bow before Christ. In their stubbornness, Pastor Rob clarifies that they were not ambiguous or confused. They hated the Master of the universe. As we see the way they responded, we must be on guard against the deceitfulness of pride and assuming that we know best. We are to chase humility, look to learn, and be ready to be corrected. As we are teachable, we then follow divine guidance and align our thinking and our lives with God's ways.
