Jesus caused uproar in Israel because He proved His divinity and He exposed the errors of those who thought highly of themselves. The pride of man prevents the flesh from seeing the goodness of Christ, but arrogance can also bring pain for the Christian. As the people of God, we are called to love and obey our Savior with every fiber of our being, and this begins with our motives.
